TENTED VILLAGE
The Tented Village, pitched on the Deer Park site, is a happy medium between an indoor and outdoor residential. It is fully equipped for visitors, taking the stress out of camping. Girlguiding groups will only need your going away with modules 1-7 to stay.
key information
The site is equipped with four tents sleeping up to 6 in each, plus one additional sleeping tent for adults, sleeping 4, with the option of having an internal curtain up or down to allow for some personal space..
There is also a catering marquee with tables and chairs seating up to 28 people and first aid tent. All tents are pitched and ready for your arrival. |
The kitchen area is in a wooden shelter with front enclosure which includes a fridge freezer, gas stove, gas oven, cool boxes, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, etc.
There are further fridge and freezer facilities in the freezer room behind the Deer House. These facilities are shared with all camping groups. There is a drinking water tap at the end of the field near the gate and another on the outside of the toilet block. |
The toilet block is situated about half way along the field and is easily accessed from the tented village. Facilities are shared and groups should work together to provide a cleaning schedule during their stay. There is one accessible toilet in this toilet block, although additional accessible facilities are available behind the Deer House. Facilities are shared but they are sanitised regularly.
